Diet Exercise And Your Self Esteem

Are you feeling like you have no self-confidence? Are you struggling to feel self-worth? You can get coaching and you can get therapy, but none of that will change your self esteem as quickly as adding diet and exercise to your schedule.

The Big Connection

It might not seem like diet and exercise should have a big impact on the way that you feel about yourself, but in reality, these things can have a huge impact on your self esteem.

Let's start with exercising. When you exercise you are not just getting your blood pumping, you are also sweating out toxins and releasing endorphins. This is why after you complete a workout you find yourself more energized, thinking more clearly, and feeling better about yourself than you did when you started.
Food works much in the same way. Studies have shown that some foods can increase your mental clarity, increase your energy levels, and increase your memory.

Still not seeing the connection between food and self-confidence? Here are some more benefits to consider:

*When your body image begins to change, you will start to fit into smaller clothes and you will start to see real definition in your muscles. These physical changes will help you to feel better about yourself mentally.

*Not only can the foods that you eat make you feel better about yourself, but eliminating bad foods can help you to feel better about yourself too. Ditching sugar and processed foods will help your body to feel cleaner and lighter. And when your body feels better, your mind feels better too.

*When your body gets the vitamins and minerals that it needs, your mind will start to feel good about itself. When this happens, your self-confidence will raise.  In fact, certain vitamins and minerals can be directly linked to mood improvements and your overall confidence.
* Your productivity levels will start to increase as your body changes. Your mind will become clearer and you will find that you will get much more done for the same amount of effort.

When you are dealing with low self-confidence, it can negatively impact every area of your life. While there are a lot of ways that you can combat this, like coaching or therapy, these can get costly and time consuming. This is not to say that you don't need these things, but only to say that you should first focus on the areas that you can control now.

Start by adding diet and exercise to your life, and if you still need to get coaching or counseling you can go into it with a clear picture of what you want to accomplish.
